Alexander Henry has dedicated his career to public service and the fair administration of justice. He began serving his country in the United States Navy, where he was honorably discharged following overseas deployments to Europe, Caribbean, WestPac, and Middle East. His military service instilled discipline, accountability, reliability, and respect for putting others first. He later continued his commitment to public service with the Federal Aviation Administration, supporting the safe operations of commercial air travel within the National Airspace System.

 

Alexander earned both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Boyd School of Law. His training provided a comprehensive understanding of both the legal system and the social factors that affect individuals and families. During his education, he worked with organizations including the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, Eighth Judicial District Court, the ACLU of Nevada, and Desert Hope Treatment Center.

 

Alexander currently serves as a Deputy Public Defender with the Clark County Public Defender’s Office. He represents individuals in felony and misdemeanor matters and works with specialty courts addressing mental health, substance use, and veterans’ issues. His work has given him firsthand insight into how trauma, limited resources, and life circumstances intersect with the criminal justice system. He approaches the law with fairness, impartiality, and respect for all parties’ interests.  

 

When not working, Alexander spends time with his children taking them to the movies, swimming at the beach or pool, concerts, gym, and family gatherings. Recently, his oldest children developed a liking to snowboarding. As a proud father of four children and born to an immigrant father, Alexander’s values are rooted in family, service, and lived experience. If elected, he will serve the North Las Vegas community with integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to equal justice under the law.
